Oven Sweet Potato Wedges
Sweet potato wedges roasted with smoked paprika and cumin — caramelized outside, tender inside.

Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F). Place a rimmed baking sheet inside while the oven heats — a hot pan gives the wedges an immediate sear on contact.

Scrub the sweet potatoes and cut each into 8 wedges lengthwise. No need to peel — the skin crisps nicely.

Toss the wedges with olive oil, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until evenly coated.

Carefully spread the wedges in a single layer on the hot baking sheet — they should sizzle on contact. Roast for 28–32 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until the cut faces are deeply caramelized and the centres are tender when pierced with a knife.
